Reservations for Eric Ziebold’s Métier are Available Now

The wait is over: chef Eric Ziebold is ready to open Métier, his highly-anticipated Shaw tasting room tucked below Kinship. Reservations for the intimate 36-seat space are available starting today, with an official debut expected on Tuesday, April 26.

Though the two restaurants occupy the same 1907 building–and share a refined look from lauded designer Darryl Carter–Kinship and Métier are designed to operate as two independent entities. Guests will enter the latter through a private elevator, and snack on canapés in a fire-lit salon before seating in the subterranean dining room, which boasts a window into Ziebold’s kitchen. The meal is set at seven-courses for $200, which includes service, but not tax and beverages. Guests can opt for a variety of aperitifs and digestifs, as well as à la carte wines and several tiers of wine pairings (prices coming soon). Unlike certain other tasting rooms, the kitchen is willing to accommodate dietary restrictions with advance notice.

Reservations are available through the restaurants website, up to a month in advance, and for parties no larger than six guests (big groups can explore private dining). A deposit of $150 is collected at the time of the reservation, and fully refunded with cancellations two or more days prior to the reservation date. Another matter of fine print to note: ties are suggested for gentlemen, but jackets are required.
